When the clock runs out, the board gracefully returns to its base ranking unless another challenger is already in the ring. One payment buys one spotlight — no hidden fees, no recurring charges, no fine print games.

- Joining a board is free. Your base rank never expires.
- Spotlights start at the price of a coffee. A paid Live-board listing from $1, or challenge a base-board entry from $5.
- Taking the crown is a real duel. Outbid the current #1 by $1 to reach the top spot.
- You only pay the difference. If you're already holding a spotlight, boosting your bid just tops it up — you never pay for ground you already own.
Every spotlight is processed securely through Stripe, and you get a receipt the moment it goes live.
